The Puerta del Puente (Bridge Gate), dating from 1571 and the work of Hernan Ruiz III, is now in the process of restoration. The project, planned for June 2005, began in September, and apparently involves lowering the ground around the monument to recover the gate's original proportions. In the background is the Mezquita.
