Photo Album: Mosque - Cathedral of Cordoba Spain/Quarrymen's marks

These marks, copied from ancient blocks of stone in the mosque, were made by the master quarrymen of 9th- and 10th-century Al-Andalus who supplied materials for the Great Mosque of Cordoba. Evidently, their advertising was more durable than glossy catalogues or web pages.
