Cordoba's train station (1992) is a major stop along the high-speed AVE Madrid-Seville line, as well as other regional and national train routes.
Across the street (right) is the bus station, and there is a taxi stop out the north door of the station. Car rental offices are in the main lobby.
In recent years, major work has been done in this part of the city to eliminate the unsightly tracks and industrial areas which divided Cordoba between the north and south. Trains now pass through tunnels. Above them, a long park and promenade, lined with fountains, is now a popular place for people to walk, skate and ride their bikes.
