Caliph's entrance to Great Friday Mosque of Cordoba

This door served as a protected entrance to the Great Mosque of Cordoba for the Caliph, al-hakam II, who came from the Umayyad Alcazar to his maqsura by way of a protected overhead passageway. To the left is the mihrab.
